Is Every Body Going Bingo Crazy?

Is Every Body Going Bingo Crazy?

There is simply no escape form online bingo. Switch on the TV and you will see countless commercials from online bingo sites. Open newspapers and you will be swamped with online bingo offers and reviews. Other forms of online gambling may be well past their sell by date although it seems there is no stopping the online bingo boom. What amazed me is the fact that online bingo has become by far the most popular form of online gambling in Britain. What is it about online bingo that makes it so appealing?  Many think that it is the target audience that has created the boom. For the perhaps the very first time it is women not men that are the main focus as potential new customers. With other forms of gambling such as sports betting, poker and even casino games, there is no doubt that more men than women partake in them.

Many countries around the world such as the United Kingdom have an established bingo culture. Bingo first appeared in the UK during the early 1960’s with most UK towns and cities having at the minimum a couple of bingo halls. Other countries such as USA, Spain and Italy also have a large bingo playing community. UK online bingo sites such as Virgin Bingo and Sky Bingo have had strong growth even during the poor financial climate. Virgin Games (part of the world renowned Virgin Group) have yet again reported strong growth. It looks like the bingo boom is here to stay and perhaps boom even more as we could well see Americans returning to the online gambling world. Maybe we will see an American giant enter the online bingo sector as Harrahs have recently launched their very own site, Caesars Bingo. Online bingo seems to have a very bright future!

Online Gambling Set For New Boom?

April 10th, 2010

Remember the onine gambling boom before the UEIGA bill was introduced which in effect stop online gambling sites accepting deposits from Americans? Well if all reports are to be believed it seem we could see legalised online gambling in the US as soon as the back end of this year. The UEIGA bill has been perhaps one of the biggest flops of all time with many sites breaking US law and allowing US Players to deposit. UK site have followed the US law and have seen the number of players vastly drop at their sites. Site such as Jackpotjoy Bingo, Bet365 Bingo & Party Bingo mainly have UK and European players only.

Harrahs are also pushing hard for legalised online gambling in the states. Last year they launched their own European poker site and only last month launched Caesars Bingo & Caesars Casino. It seems Harrahs are in a great position to now quickly move in to the American Market once online gambling is legal in the states.

Looks like it is going to be a very interesting year in the online gambling world!
